Tap Cleaning and Fitting Instructions

The following instructions should be used when fitting a new tap to your crock, or cleaning your crock and tap.

1. Assemble and disassemble the tap as shown with the handle to the left. Also remove the handle of the tap by unscrewing it.
2. Wash all the parts of the tap with warm soapy water and then rinse thoroughly.
3. Hand tighten the back nut.
4. Rotate the body of the tap, one quarter turn clockwise, so that the handle is at the top.
5. Place 3 litres of water into your crock and check your tap for leaks.
6. If a leak is apparent, repeat steps 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Crock Cleaning Instructions

We recommend that you follow the guidelines below as Cooroy Mountain Spring Water is regarded as a Perishable Food Product.
1. Ensure your bottles are stored in a clean, cool, dry location away from sunlight, free of dust and dirt and not near chemical or fuel storage.
2. Crocks should not be placed in insect prone areas, near plants or in a location that allows sunlight to fall on the bottle being used.
3. Replace the cap on your empty bottles when you are finished with them.
4. Using or putting anything else in the bottles causes contamination. A $20 fee applies for bottles that are contaminated.
5. Lost or damaged bottles may incur a $19 replacement fee.
6. Your crock should be cleaned at least once a month.

  1. Remove your bottle and empty the excess water through your tap.
  2. Pour 2 litres of tap water into the crock and add household detergent or 50ml of vinegar.
  3. Scrub with a non abrasive scouring pad.
  4. Empty your crock out.
  5. Use the tap cleaning instructions, clean the tap and then re-assemble.
  6. Rinse again with boiling water and drain through the tap.
  7. Allow your crock to dry and then replace the bottle.
